This plantation was originally owned by the French.
We first walked past the house to the slave pens. There were bats hanging around in there.
A relative of the guy who now owns the property saw us looking for the slave pens and showed us the way and told us a bit about them.

Slaves lived under the house in compartments that we could barely see. There were "entrances" to them from outside.
